During the American railroad boom, it was fashionable to wear jewelry in the form of railroad nails. This pretty sparkling nail is crafted of 18k yellow gold and Platinum and set with calibré cut Rubies and Old mine cut diamonds. The original c-clasp was expertly changed to a safety clasp in the 20thc. Circa 1890.

Details.....The nail measures 1.5" long by .27" wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
